Sisterchicks Race for the Cure
Saturday was the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. My sisterchicks and I were talking at Christmas time and we realized that every one of us has a family member who has had breast cancer. Some of us have family members who have died from it. Right then we decided to form a team- the Sisterchicks! Some of our Mamachicks raced with us, as well as a few extra friends! Here are some pictures from the race.
Team Sisterchick!

I designed the shirt- arent’ they cute?

I raced for my Aunt Stef- a breast cancer survivor!

Glenda- our survivor Mamachick!

Our survivor, Glenda, got to walk through an archway of pink balloons at the finish line. She was presented with a beautiful medal and a very interestingly pretty rose! Go Glenda!

Staci and I ran the whole thing. Everyone else was a slacker and walked. Look how fast we are going!

Wow- we were tired!

Post race sweatiness.

When you said that “staci and I ran the whole thing” I laughed out loud…then I scrolled down to see the picture! I couldn’t hardly stand the tenth of a mile that I did attempt to run!
Ah – I’d have run with you if I knew you were doing it. Let me know if you run next year.
