So, we made the treck to the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus/Jonas Brothers concert last night.  It was so much fun.

My favorite pic is on Heather’s camera, so I’ll upload it as soon as I get them.  They had a cardboard cutout of Miley in front of the tour bus on the red carpet and there was this old woman posing in every picture.  It turns out that it’s Billy Ray Cyrus’ mom, which is Miley’s grandma.  It was hilarious.  I can’t wait to see the pic.

He’s in the top two, baby! Oh yeah! I am REALLY looking forward to next week now! I guess my 30 votes do count after all! We have a little Blake fan club at school…hee hee…we all agreed to vote 15 times. Now that Melinda is gone, I think Blake has a chance to win!  Jordan is great, but safe and booooorrrrrinnng.  I would actually like to see Jordan win because then Blake could put out his own cd instead of being under the Idol influence.

Idol Talk

Wow- after last night, it could be anyone going home tonight!  They were all so good!  My favorite, Blake, did the best he’s ever done.  I loved his Maroon 5 song!  Man, I just love beat boxing… he is so talented.  I haven’t looked forward to an Idol CD this much since Chris Daughtry…wait, that was just last season. LOL  I’m still not liking the hair so much now that it’s dark, but hey,  he’s still hot.  How funny was it when he sang “Baby Got Back” with Sir Mix-a-Lot. I’d put some pictures up from last night, but they don’t have any on the website yet. 

I’m looking forward to Maroon 5 and Elliot Yamin performing tonight. Elliot was one of my favorites last season and I’m excited to check out his new look.

What are you listening to right now?

I got a new cd yesterday (thank you, Tim!).  It’s the Mika cd titled “Life in Cartoon Motion”.  I just love this thing!  It’s reminiscent of Queen to me, especially the song, Grace Kelly.  My mom says that it sounds like Fraggle Rock.  Check out his MySpace page here.  In addition to a very new sound, you have to admit, he’s easy on the eyes too!

I just got done reading his biography and he has led a very interesting life, at times I wonder how he made it out with his sanity.  He could write a very good book. Here’s an excerpt from the bio:

 Mika is a true young internationalist. Born in Beirut in the middle of the 80s, Mika’s family soon found themselves having to move to Paris at the height of the war. When his father was subsequently taken hostage and held at the American embassy in Kuwait the family eventually settled in London. An inevitably turbulent experience for our young hero, he found himself bereft, lost in the chasm of a displaced upbringing. “It was the combination of moving as well as a horrible time I had at school in the first few years of living in London that lead me to forget how to read and write, and stop talking for a little while. I was pulled out of school for over six months; in order to sort my self out and find a new school. This is when music really became important. It got me back on my feet.” He says now that by the age of 9 he knew that songwriting was his destiny. The electric performances that would win over some of the most hardened musical ears on the planet would come later.
