First Day of School!

Jake started his first day of 6th grade and Bailey started her first day of 3rd grade today.  I can’t believe they’re so old! Bailey & Reece are in the same class together this year, so that is really nice!

 

It’s all about the free food

Dress like a cow, get free food?  Enough said!

We were greeted with the sound of employees ringing cow bells. They then took multiple pictures of us and then let us pick anything off the menu! We got $24 worth of lunch- for free! Yay Chick-Fil-A!null

Sisterchicks Race for a Cure

Today was the Atlanta Susan G. Komen breast cancer walk.  For the second year, the Sisterchick team walked.

Here are the shirts I designed.  It was really great having all the names of the women we walk for on the back of the shirt.

After the walk, we headed over to The Flying Biscuit Cafe. Can you say, yum?

Dinner at the fire pit

No, that’s not some fancy restaurant, it’s our backyard!  Mike, Heather, and the girls came over and Jake had Ahmed and Evan over as well.  First, we built a fire with pinon wood from New Mexico.  Then we roasted hot dogs.

Then, we ate the dogs!

Next came the smores.  Yummy!

Gotta love hanging with your best friends and cooking your own food on a firepit!

Happy St. Patty’s Day!

We spend St. Patty’s Day with my mom and dad a day early this year.  The kids always have a blast and my mom always goes all out with decorations, music, and of course food!  Any excuse to eat corned beef, cabbage & boiled potatoes is alright with me!  It’s also my parents 36th anniversary from their first date.
